By now you should know that Scientology controls people by
confusing them about identity. But to accomplish this, they need
their victims to trust them. OSA can't make you accept wrong
ideas about the location of characteristics unless they first get
you to believe in the person they're coming from.
This is why, in its ruthless bid to de-anonymize the public
remailer system, Scientology's Office of Special Affairs (OSA)
will take advantage of this:
UNCONSCIOUS (a.k.a. implicit) EGOTISM, : an involuntary,
irrepressible bias in favor of anything that resembles the self.
SELF, n. : what one cares about : whatever the mind has concluded
it needs to be, do, or have for its continuing existence.
Inevitably, it starts with a "mirroring" of some familiar
characteristics that you care about. If you were speaking out on
a newsgroup, OSA would mirror your ideas and speech patterns.
But if you're running a remailer, OSA has to ask themselves,
"What does a remailer operator care about? Hmmm. Maybe they
care about their remailer's stats."
- From this, we can expect some OSA remailers will try to mirror
the stat pattern of the non-OSA remailers they are targeting.
A targeted non-OSA remailer would exhibit a stat pattern that
suggests some sort of denial-of-service attack. In the last
thirteen days the following non-OSA remailers seem to have
exhibited the pattern:
lcs 0EA0001010110 :20 +++++++++++++
hastio 1111212H91112 :56 ++++++++++++9
panta ????????32423 2:03 ????????++++9
metacolo 10010D6001011 :25 +39++++++++++
cmeclax HHHDBA74667B9 9:31 58++++++++9+7
starwars 11214AHHGC611 5:54 +99++8++++++7
paranoia 171010??????? 00:00 +9+++10000000
citrus 3B2223322BBB9 2:35 +++++8++++++6
antani 16111111120?? :48 +9++++++++500
bunker 3A24466333334 3:01 4542576657535
harmless 151111E311122 :46 4558456155665
The pattern is a change of pattern, from short remailing delays
to much longer, then back again. Sometimes the remailer goes
down completely for a while as in the case of Panta and Paranoia.
Antani is the most recent severe casualty. (Daat is also a
recent casualty but has not yet been fully verified as a non-OSA
remailer.)
As for the expected mirroring, this could be an example:
panta ???????32423 2:03 ???????++++9 99.6%
vger ???????13EA1 2:30 ???????88868 79.6%
...or this could be an example:
lcs 0EA000101010 :20 ++++++++++++ 100.0%
vger ???????13EA1 2:30 ???????88868 79.6%
If it's deliberate, the silent mirroring of stats will be
followed up by communication from the mirror operative that
subtly rules out a correct understanding of someone or
something's identity. Here's a guess as to what an introduction
message from OSA might look like:
To: lcs rem-op
Subject: need help
- From vger rem-op <admin at vger.smbtech.com>
>Someone keeps flooding my remailer so bad
>it shut me down. Stats say you could be having
>the same problem. I'm not sure just what to do
>about it.
>
>Rumor says it might be religious control
>freaks. Do you have any confirmation
>on this?
>
>Thanks in advance,
>[pseudonym of Vger rem-op]
Of course the information being falsely "ruled out" is about the
OSA operative's own identity. At the same time, he's fishing for
clues on how much the lcs admin knows about Scientology's DoS
attacks on remailers (especially nym.alias.net) and what
solutions have been implemented to counteract them.
Maybe you're thinking, "The behavior of the supposedly 'OSA'
remailer operator doesn't look that unusual. Are you saying we
can't ask for, or answer help? How are we supposed to tell the
difference??" Relax. Between Len Sassaman vouching for the
prominent open source crypto developers he knows and me reading
the subtle clues that speak of a person covertly following
Scientology policies, we've got it mostly covered. You can trust
Len because he has connections, accomplishments, and a career
history next to impossible for an undercover Scientologist to
match. You can trust me because I have six years of experience
against OSA and I'm personally at risk; it pays in terms of my
own peace of mind for me to get the identities right. So the
burden of fine discernment is not all on you.
Again, here's my list of confirmed Scientology remailers:
amessage (OSA)
parsifal (OSA)
userbeam (OSA)
amigo (OSA)
kroken (OSA)
vger (OSA)
tek1 (OSA)
krotus (OSA)
crimix (OSA)
bikikii (OSA)
thrasher (OSA)
zerofree (OSA)
banana (OSA)
For your part, remember that Scientology is a school for
psychological warriors. There's no lie they won't tell, no trick
they won't use. OSA is now dominating a.p.a.s. same as they do
Scientology newsgroups. Everything they post is the product of
someone trained to arrange words and names to convey false
impressions. Behind the apparent innocence is _always_ an
attempt to misdirect your behavior and/or to undermine the
possibility of you correctly understanding key identities. The
irony is that if they can get you to solidly buy into just ONE
false definition/identity, your treatment of anyone who tries to
correct you will be a mistargeted version of the stance you
_should_ have taken with the OSA operative responsible for
implanting you. Your scorn will be misdirected... towards
_defending_ your confusion instead of resolving it. To avoid
falling into this pitiful state, you must devote your
intelligence to identifying strangers correctly.
Perhaps you wonder --- why is disseminating false definitions so
important to Scientology? Because intelligence, sanity,
rationality are all utterly dependent on accurate identification.
The more specious definitions they can get you to buy into, the
more willingly you will assist OSA in its "sacred mission" of
getting more specious definitions into more people's heads and
"clearing the planet" of people opposed to this confusion
process.
I know --- it is bizarre. It is hard to understand. Why would
anyone create a religion that makes people completely obsessed
about making other people crazy and stupid?
Here's the answer. If my source is correct, Scientology was
regarded by its scientifically-minded founders as a morality play
on the evils of religion. Publicly discrediting what was built
up in Act One is the play's Second Act.
Are you enjoying the performance? ;-)
