lunedì pomeriggio 14 luglio, ore 15.00, a Milano (Facoltà di
Giurisprudenza, Università degli Studi di Milano, via Festa del Perdono n.
7), nella sala "ex bar", Robin Gross, di passaggio in Europa,
(http://www.ipjustice.org/bio.shtml) terrà un workshop in inglese sui
processi che ha seguito e che sta seguendo (in particolare Replay TV,
Elcomsoft/Sklyarov e Morpheus).
Tale workshop è inserito nelle attività delle due cattedre di Informatica
Giuridica e di Informatica Giudirica Avanzata della mia Università.

Si parlerà di file sharing, di DMCA, e dell'attività di Ip Justice nel
mondo, di misure tecnologiche di protezione del diritto d'autore.

Siete tutti invitati a partecipare. Il workshop, gratuito, sarà in inglese
senza traduzione simultanea. Indicativamente dalle 15.00 alle 18.00





Robin Gross CV

Robin D. Gross is an attorney and Executive Directive of IP Justice a
grassroots civil liberties organization that promotes balanced intellectual
property law and protects freedom of expression.   Ms. Gross regularly
speaks at international conferences and publishes on cyberspace legal
issues such as digital copyright, circumvention, and fair use, and she has
testified before the U.S. Copyright Office on the Digital Millennium
Copyright Act (DMCA).
Before founding IP Justice in 2002, Ms. Gross was Staff Attorney for
Intellectual Property with the Electronic Frontier Foundation where she
founded its Campaign for Audiovisual Free Expression in 1999.  While at
EFF, she represented 2600 Magazine and Princeton scientists in litigation
under the DMCA, the founder of Craigslist.org over digital VCRs, and
peer-to-peer software developers over the legality of file-sharing
software.  In 2001 she developed EFF's Open Audio License, a public license
for music that permits public sharing in exchange for artist credit.

The editors of the legal newspaper Daily Journal selected Ms. Gross as one
of California's "Top Ten Most Influential Attorneys in 2001."  She's
appeared as a guest legal expert on news programs discussing intellectual
property on CNN, BBC, NPR, PRI, Tech TV, NHK, DRS, VOA, and CBC.

A 1998 graduate of Santa Clara University's High Technology Law Program,
Ms. Gross is licensed to practice law in California.  During law school she
co-founded Virtual Recordings an electronic music Web site with her
musician husband.  A Michigan native, she graduated from Michigan State
University's James Madison College in 1995 with degrees in political
philosophy and international relations.
