I think I'm ready to release some code into the wild. nymproxy is a set of
scripts for sending and receiving nym mail. Currently it works on unix
systems (tested on linux); I have to change things a bit for it to work on
windows.

This is alpha quality software. If that doesn't terrify you and you would
like to help test, email me and I'll send you the tar file. If someone would
like to volunteer to put the archive on a web site somewhere, please contact
me.

Here's the README:
-------------------
nymproxy 0.1

nymproxy is a system for sending and receiving nym messages.

Features:
	* read plain email via stdin and send as a nym message
	* read encrypted nym message via stdin and decrypt it
	* download nym messages from a POP3 server, decrypt them
		and store in a maildir
	* act as SMTP server, allowing one to use any MUA to send
		nym messages

Planned features that are not implemented yet:
	* act as POP3/IMAP proxy
	* nym creation and management

This software is currently only alpha quality, so use at your own risk.

Using nymproxy
--------------
All configuration is in config.py. I hope to clean this up soon, but for now
it's simple and just plain works. In the General Configuration section one
sets the pgp command and the method for sending mail. Nym Configuraion
establishes information about your nym, and POP Config tells the proxy its
settings for POP3 support.

Decrypting of nyms is very simplistic: it simply uses pgp to decrypt the
message. There is no support to conventional encryption or anything else at
this time.

To use the smtp proxy, simply set your MUA to use the proxy as your outgoing
mail server. If you use a MUA such as pine or mutt, you can use "proxy.py
send" as your sendmail command.

Suggestions and Feedback
------------------------
I've tested this with a few MUAs, using the smtp proxy and the sendmail
standin. Please test this out and let me know how it works. If something
goes wrong, please let me know the MUA you're using and the OS.

Any bug reports, feature requests, etc can be sent to
