efga has been unattended for the past 6 months
Sadly to say, but the only thing efga is providing now is an example:
- -how a service, valuable in the past, can become a liability
- -why people should not run a public pinger if they don't attend it
properly
(it also casts a doubt on the reliability of efga *other* services:
with such bad keyrings, mail gets lost
all the remix repgp functions
efga is middleman....
[Trains are equipped with a security device which makes the machine
stop if the driver is not periodically signalling that he is
awake/alive.
Maybe developers should equip pingers with a similar device:
if the owner is not there for a week: stop publication
Unfortunately, it is still fashionable to boast:
"I did not reboot for the past 10 years"
Please, make me a favor and forcibly unplug me of I go this way.]
efga is so bad that I listed it among the "dangerous places" in my
daily "survival kit"
You can check by yourself and feed efga urls into
http://frogadmin.yi.org/MetaStats/QryKeyRingUrl1.html
(change FAROUT to FROG or something else as Ping Leader #2)
Another daily post rates the pingers according to their keyrings'
accuracy
(pingers who chose to be public)
Of course, you may use Frog :-)
In any case, don't forget to ZAP your keyrings to repair efga's damage
